The ‘Confederation of Indian Industry Coalition Summit 2021’ is being held in the capital New Delhi on behalf of the ‘Department of Industry and Domestic Trade Development’ of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal addressed the inaugural function of the conference.
Union Telecommunications Minister Aswini Vaishnav was among those who addressed the function.
According to Minister Aswini Vaishnav,
“India is the 2nd largest smartphone maker in the world. With this growth in the last 4-5 years, the price of the smartphone has come down to less than Rs 10,000. This is a very, very important price. This is because it is affordable even for the low income segment.
Further steps have been taken to further reduce the cost of smartphones. Measures are being taken to reduce the supply chain costs and increase India’s design capabilities so that the smartphone can reach the last mile.
To increase the production of spare parts and electronic chips in India, many more such initiatives are being lined up by the government.
Efforts are being made to strike a balance between increasing incomes and increasing services to the poor. ”
