The Jabna Kings are the first team to advance to the next round.
Japan won the toss and elected to bowl Batting first, Dambulla were bowled out for 69 in 14.1 overs for the loss of all wickets.

On behalf of the Jabna team, chess de Silva gave up 16 runs in 4 overs and took four wickets. Apart from him, Mahesh Deekshana took 3 wickets and Vanindu Hasaranga and Asen Bandara took 1 wicket each.
The Jabna team then reached the target in 9.2 overs with an easy target of 70 runs.
Chess de Silva won the Man of the Match award for his outstanding performance in the tournament.
