Filming for the second season of “Manaich” began recently, but an unusual event that happened yesterday (Monday) obscures the celebration: extras who participate in the series were not allowed to eat with the actors. Actor Shalom Asaig, who noticed what was happening, demanded that the production allow them to eat, as for the actors. According to a report by Ran Boker on Ynet, Asaig threatened that if he did not do so, he would leave the set immediately.

“Manaich,” which aired in August 2020, is one of the Public Broadcasting Corporation’s most successful series. The series came up more than a year ago and was a great success with an impressive set that includes Shalom Asaig, Amos Tamam, Orna Fitoussi and more. The creator of the series and the writer is Roi Idan, with the series directed by Alon Singman.

Extras who were on the set in Rishon Lezion told Ynet: “We started filming day early in the morning. During lunch we went to the caterer to eat and the production staff took the plates out of our hands and told us: ‘You are extras, they will bring you fives later.'”

“They just did not let us eat ‘It was really embarrassing and shouting started. Hello Asaig who was sitting down to eat saw it, got up, shouted at the producers and forced them to let us eat. At first they did not agree and then he told them that if we are not all allowed to eat – he goes home “, They added.

Shalom’s brother, Manny, tweeted after the case was published, and wrote: “My brother and I are proud of him !!!! and our parents are proud of him! Derech Eretz preceded every TV series!”.
