Police set up security at Wayanad Kurukkanmoola where the tiger landed. Police said they would ensure protection for the children to go to school. The police and the forest department will provide security to the people during the distribution of milk and newspapers in their homes.
Forest officials have advised people not to go out at night. KSEB has been directed to ensure that there is no power outage in Kurukkanmoola. The Revenue Department has also been directed to clear the forested areas in the area.
The forest department is trying to bring the Kunkianas, who are specially trained to search for tigers, to the fox corner. Trained Kunkianas are brought to the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary. It has been decided to use drones for the tiger and to monitor the area.

Suni’s goat, a native of Patamala in Kurukkanmoola, was attacked by a tiger this morning. So far, the tiger has killed 15 pets in the area. The ban has been in place for five days in four divisions of Mananthavady municipality. More rangers have been deployed in the area. The forest department and police are actively searching the area. The day before yesterday, a tiger attacked Johnson’s goat and Tenkuzhi Jinson’s cow at Kurakkanmoola Puduchira. With this, the people of Payyampally Kurukkanmoola and Padamala areas became panic stricken.
