SIBF fund: investments in technology amounting to 400 million dollars

The venture capital fund SIBF successfully led an Israeli and international investor conference this week. According to the data, from the date of its establishment in 2020 until today, the fund has invested in 38 technology companies worth 400 million dollars.

Partners in the fund are Or Ben Shoshan, Eli Ben Simon, Aviv Cohen and Boaz Or-Sharga. The investment in a single company is estimated in individual millions of dollars up to 40 million dollars. The conference was held at the O-TECH complex in Kfar Saba with the participation of 150 managers of companies in which the fund invested.

Participating among others were Itzik Segron from the American Koch Family Foundation, Eli Levy – owner of Mor Investment House, Yakir Gabbai from the London real estate giant Around Town, Amit Ben Yitzhak – Chairman of Granot, Roi Kadosh – Director of Investments at Hachshara Insurance and Adi Horowitz Lavi from Po’elim Hitech .

Meir Ben Shabat, the former chairman of the National Assembly, gave a lecture on security challenges. The fund’s investments focused on growing companies in four areas of activity: renewable energy, food-tech, healthcare and agro-tech, and it accompanies their activities until the third fundraising round.

“The upheaval in the technology sector in particular creates many challenges, but there are also positive things: no more inflated values ​​and growth models that do not hold water,” said Ben Shushan. “The market is becoming realistic and healthy. The technological sector will recover in 2024 and that the market today is an investment opportunity.”
