Donation run project of the St. Lioba School Bad Nauheim

by time news

Last Wednesday, a 7th school class from the Lioba School visited the St. Nikolaus parish during their donation run project “hike for help” and was looked after by our parish officer Monika Burkard. The class used two days of their project week to draw attention to the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria, to empathize with the homeless and sad people and to collect funds for them. Because: many people there have no roof over their heads, no bed to sleep in, no more clothes than they are wearing.

The 28 students walked the Luther Trail, on Wednesday, March 28th, 2023, the 20 km from Bad Nauheim to Bad Vilbel, had dinner in the parish hall of St. Nikolaus, spent the night, had breakfast, took part in a church tour and then on Thursday, 03/29 walked another 12 km to Frankfurt! Parents, relatives, acquaintances… asked her to send a donation to Malteser International for the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

We Bad Vilbelers were so impressed by this aid project that we would like to support them and invite everyone to take part.

This is the information from the school class about the “hike for help” campaign:

Dear friends, dear family, dear colleagues,

Thank you for taking the time to visit our promotions page. Donate here directly, quickly and securely for our fundraiser. We are happy about every amount! On our hiking day, we will walk almost 50 km on the Luther Trail to collect donations for the earthquake victims. We may get wet and we’ll definitely get hungry while hiking, but we have the assurance that a warm place to sleep and a tasty meal await. The people there often only have hope, nothing else. We want to strengthen this hope and show them that we not only pray for them, but also act! We thank you in advance for your support!

Many thanks, Class 7a at St. Lioba School, Bad Nauheim
