Stolen vehicle crashes into another vehicle; UAE court fined Asians 4,000 dirhams

Abu Dhabi: The Dubai Court sentenced an Asian man to death for driving a stolen vehicle and causing an accident. The court imposed a fine of 4,000 dirhams. Dubai Misdemeanors and Violation Court sentenced the accused. The suspect in the case is a 28-year-old Asian man.

The incident took place when the stolen vehicle met with an accident. After the accident, the owner of the vehicle, Asian, received a phone call from the police station that his vehicle had crashed into another vehicle and caused an accident. The police asked the owner of the vehicle to come to the police station to receive the vehicle. But they informed the police that they had not given their vehicle to anyone. The suspect who stole the car without the owner’s knowledge and caused the accident was arrested during the investigation. The suspect who had stolen the vehicle which was left unlocked in the parking area in front of the building was driving away. Then he was driving under the influence of alcohol and hit another vehicle causing an accident. After the accident, he abandoned the stolen vehicle and escaped from the scene.

Later, the police found the suspect by examining the surveillance camera in the parking area. It was clear from the camera footage that he was getting into the vehicle and the vehicle was driving away. During interrogation, the accused confessed.
