São Paulo conquered another victory in the Under-19 Dallas Cup. This Monday afternoon (03), Tricolor beat Barça Residency Academy (USA) by 3 to 2 in dispute at Moneygram Soccer Park, in Dallas. Drummond, Pedro Afonso and Manso scored the São Paulo goals.
Regarding the first game, coach Belletti made only one change in the team: Andrade left the starting lineup and gave way to Lucas Inácio. At 35 minutes of the first half, after Newerton’s free kick, Drummond took advantage of the goalkeeper’s rebound and completed for the goal.
In the second half, Pedro Afonso, in the 28th minute, scored the second goal for São Paulo. The attacker dribbled the defender, stayed in front of the goalkeeper and finished to increase the scoreboard. The opponent reduced the free kick. But Manso, in the 38th minute, scored the third goal for Tricolor after crossing Pedro Afonso. In addition, the rival discounted from the penalty spot.
The team rests this Tuesday and returns to play next Wednesday (05). The rival will be the Dallas Texans in dispute at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Moneygram Soccer Park, without transmission to Brazil.
Three-time champion of the dispute (1995, 2007 and 2009), São Paulo participates in the competition for the seventh time. The tricolors are in group A alongside Fulham (ING), Barça Academy (USA) and Dallas Texans (USA). Real Madrid, Botafogo, CF Monterrey (MEX) and FC Dallas (TX) form group A, while FC Midjylland (DIN), LD Alajuelense (CRC), Tigres (MEX) and Solar SC (USA) are in group C. to the semifinals the two best teams of each key. The final takes place on Sunday (09).
