Copper taps in your bathroom; this is how you combine them

by time news

If you want something different in your bathroom, copper faucets are currently the trend. And while a trend might suggest it’s temporary, I can tell you that a brass faucet is only going to get more sought after.

The question is how you can combine that copper nicely with other colors and I’m going to show you that today.

Copper taps add atmosphere to your bathroom

The trend for faucets other than the standard color started with black faucets and then moved on to brass. Until we also see copper faucets more and more lately. And rightly so, because the copper faucet has it all. These taps provide a warm atmosphere, a chic look and a little bit of color in today’s modern bathrooms.

So no trends in the sense that they quickly disappear from the home image, but lasting positive additions to the standard palette.

From old dilapidated bathroom to beautiful copper taps

I like modern bathrooms and attractive appearance. Not surprising, because I come from an old bathroom that was really from the early 70s, with those burgundy red tiles on the wall. Here you can read more about the bathroom that we have renovated and see what it looked like.

Fortunately, we have recently made some progress with our new bathroom and the oak bathroom furniture with copper taps is in it. You wouldn’t believe how long we’ve been doing this! We have been sitting with a dilapidated bathroom for about 6 months.

And even though we still have a shower downstairs in our annex, the past few months have been quite a bit of suffering. It took blood, sweat and tears. Not only because of the demolition work we did ourselves in the bathroom, but also because of waiting for the plumber, plasterer and tiler.

It is almost impossible to make agreements with those men in good decency. They are too busy, so they don’t keep their appointments and the whole planning is turned upside down again. That’s why we’ve been on the road for months.

But luckily the result is there. Even if the bathroom is not completely finished yet, we have the copper taps!

This way you can combine copper taps beautifully

I would like to show you how we have combined the copper faucets, but also give you more inspiration from other bathrooms so that you can see how beautiful copper is in the bathroom, not only in terms of faucets, but also for the shower, the shower niche and the gutter.

Copper taps combine with paint on the wall

We painted some walls in our bathroom and had others tiled. I painted the wall behind the bathroom furniture in a soft, warm shade that highlights the copper taps beautifully.

In addition, it looks very nice with the white solid surface washbasin top. And with custom furniture made of solid wood that Fine Wood Design made for us.

The black marbled tiles also match perfectly with the copper-colored shower set. There is a marble pattern that goes from soft beige to a darker red-brown. The black tiles combined with the copper from the faucets give a deep luxurious look to the whole and the copper really stands out in terms of color.

I am very happy with the choice for our copper taps and I don’t think I will soon regret it.

Copper taps therefore combine very well with dark and light tones. I even think it goes really well with a pink bathroom. Check out the white bathrooms below.

I think that copper faucets also have a bit more charisma than the gold-colored faucets that you see a lot. They give a warmer and more luxurious atmosphere to the whole space.

Tip: if you go for copper taps for your sinks and your shower and you also want a copper-colored niche or a shower drain, make sure that you buy everything from the same supplier and from the same brand so that the copper really all has the same color.

Because one copper tap is not the other, as it turned out. Our brass faucets are really a bit reddish in hue and I really like that. But you also have copper accessories that are much darker in color or tend more towards gold. So pay attention.

Combine copper with natural tones

The mood boards above show that copper taps match very well with natural tones. The copper gives a warm undertone to the calm natural tones and materials, making the effect fantastic.

Copper and wood go very well together, which is why the copper taps look great with our solid oak furniture. They are a perfect match if you ask me. But copper and concrete, for example, are also fantastic.

Don’t overdo it

I think it’s important to keep the balance when combining copper in your bathroom. So if you go for copper taps, you choose other colors and materials for the rest around it. This way you ensure that the copper of the faucets really stands out and becomes an eye-catcher.

For example, would you like a copper wash bowl? Then I would choose black faucets myself.
