New York: Former US President Donald Trump has been arrested in the case of paying a pornographic actress to keep her extramarital affair from being revealed. The arrest was made after he appeared in a Manhattan court. Trump has previously denied the allegations but is expected to plead guilty in court. It is the first time in US history that a former president has been charged with a crime.

Benjamin Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu topped the list. No one has served as Israeli prime minister longer than Benjamin Netanyahu, who was sworn in for a sixth term last year. Netanyahu is still on trial for fraud and corruption.
Luis Inacio Lula da Silva
Brazil’s Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is one of the leaders who served prison terms. He was arrested in April 2018. Released in November 2019. He served a prison sentence of about one and a half years. He was convicted in cases of embezzlement and financial fraud.
Cristina Fernandez
Argentine Vice President Cristina Fernandez is third on the list. Cristina was challenged by corruption during her two-term presidency from 2007 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2015. Last December, the court sentenced him to six years in prison.
Anwar Ibrahim
Anwar Ibrahim is a leader who was jailed before assuming the presidency of Malaysia. He will become the Prime Minister of Malaysia in November 2022. Anwar was jailed in April 1999 after being convicted of homosexuality. Even if consensual, homosexuality is punishable by up to 20 years in prison in Muslim-majority Malaysia.
