The County Administrative Board has been informed about a high number of abandoned cats in the municipality of Kalix. There is suspicion that more cats might be abandoned outdoors. In order to prevent the possibility of incorrect cat care, cat owners are kindly requested to keep their cats indoors for the next few days. The area affected is the center of Kalix and the surrounding two miles. The County Administrative Board will provide updates regarding this matter soon.
Due to the fact that the County Administrative Board has received information that a large number of cats have been found abandoned in the municipality of Kalix and that there is a suspicion that there are still more cats that are abandoned outdoors, cat owners are asked to keep their cats indoors as much as possible for the next few days .
This is to avoid the risk of the wrong cats being cared for.
The area in question is the center of Kalix and about a two-mile radius outside the center. The County Administrative Board will return with more information within the next few days.
