Moscow:

Russia launched a war against Ukraine after strongly protesting Ukraine’s attempt to join NATO, which is a member of the US and European countries. Russia’s war on Ukraine has been going on for more than a year.

Meanwhile, Finland took steps to join NATO. Russia objected to this and issued a warning. Finland became the 31st member of NATO.

Belgium signed the document to join NATO at a ceremony in Brussels. This has doubled Russia’s shared border with NATO countries.

Finland shares a 1340 km eastern border with Russia. Since Finland is a member of NATO, NATO forces can be sent to Finland’s border if necessary.

It assumes that it may pose threats to Russia. Russia strongly opposes Finland joining NATO.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said, ‘Finland’s accession to NATO has increased the risk of the war in Ukraine spreading to other regions.

“The capability of Belarus’s warplanes to attack with our nuclear weapons has been increased,” he said.

With this, Russia has decided to start a war against Finland. A question has also been raised about the possibility of an attack on Finland as Russian forces are actively involved in the war on Ukraine.

And if Finland were to be attacked, NATO member states would jump into the fray. Due to this, there is a tense atmosphere.
