Madurai: Maridas, 40, from Madurai, has lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police against Balakrishnan, the IT team manager of the DMK, for posting untrue comments on a social networking site criticizing the Tamil Nadu government and the DMK.
On December 9, police filed a case and arrested Maridasa. Petition filed by Maridas in the High Court Branch: As a Social Activist, I speak out against separatism and terrorism.
The case has been filed with malicious intent. It is illegal to file a lawsuit against a government official for trying to seduce a minor. In my case, there should be an interim injunction against the above action. The case should be dismissed.
Judge GR Swaminathan inquired. Tamil Nadu Government: Petitioner has abused his freedom of expression. If the case is dismissed it will affect the investigation.
Petitioner’s side: Supporters of DMK and DMK have posted a controversial post regarding the death of Commander-in-Chief of the three forces Pipin Rawat in a helicopter crash. In response, the petitioner filed under the Freedom of Expression Act. The petitioner continues to criticize the Government. A lawsuit has been filed seeking to disable him.
Judge’s order: to incite rebellion against the regime, to incite hatred against caste, religion, race, language, or to deliberately spread slander with the intention of disturbing the public peace.
The complainant was not directly implicated in the petitioner’s record. The emergency has been reported. It is illegal to file a case against the petitioner. The case is dismissed.Thus the discussion took place.
