Central: The cash liquidity distributed to banks amounted to 11 billion dinars during the month of Ramadan

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer, held a meeting with the operating directors of the Republic, National Commercial, Al-Wahda, Al-Sahari and North African banks to follow up on the implementation of the Central Bank’s strategy regarding liquidity and the strategy for developing electronic payment services.

In a statement to the Central Bank, the governor praised the development of the uses of electronic payment methods, the rate of liquidity that was distributed to all bank branches, and the success of the plan to provide liquidity for the month of Ramadan.

And Al-Kabeer stressed during the meeting that the banks should continue to implement the approved strategies at the same pace.

The Central Bank indicated in its statement that the value of the liquidity that was distributed during the first quarter of this year exceeded 25 billion dinars, while the liquidity distributed during the month of Ramadan amounted to 11 billion dinars, pointing out that the number of flights implemented to deliver liquidity to the regions of the south and east amounted to 44 flights, except for transportation. via the wild road.
