Ayem Nour and Vincent Miclet: what we know about the conflict between them for the custody of their son

by time news

This is the story of a parental conflict under the spotlight. It opposes the former reality TV candidate, now host and columnist Ayem Nour to her former companion, businessman Vincent Miclet, based in Morocco. For several months, the ex-couple have been clashing both on social networks, with moving posts mobilizing their communities, but also in court for the custody of their child, little Ayvin, 6 years old.

A few days ago, Ayem Nour even appealed for help to Emmanuel Macron and the King of Morocco on his Instagram account, which attracted strong media attention. Back to this complex case.

How did we get here ?

After their separation a few years ago, Ayem Nour had obtained from the French authorities the shared custody of her child in France, with also visiting rights granted to Vincent Miclet, during the holidays and every other weekend. But a review clause provided that from the age of six, the child had to spend the summer holidays over a period of one month with his father instead of the maximum 15 days provided until then.

An unprecedented situation that Ayem told us he feared in view of a tense context between the two parties. “There have always been conflicts since I made the decision to separate. He had asked for sole custody and he always challenged the decision which had awarded custody to me, ”assures the mother of the family reached by telephone in Marrakech by Le Parisien.

However, the former reality TV candidate concluded a “deal” last summer with her former husband. The TPMP People columnist had – at the insistence of her ex-companion – ended up agreeing to her son Ayvin being educated in Marrakech for a one-year trial and living alongside him. “If all went well, I had accepted that it would continue. But I quickly understood that in reality, he had brought me to his land in Morocco to try to obtain sole custody,” accuses Ayem Nour.

Considering the agreement lapsed, Ayem then wishes to return home to the south of France with her son. “I went to the American school with my official French papers. They then agreed to give me my son, ”says the young thirty-year-old. The problem is that deprived of her son’s passport, which remained in the hands of her father, the child and she cannot leave the territory. Despite an attempt with the French authorities, Ayem Nour says he cannot find a way out. “I went to the consulate and the embassy. But my husband had taken care to call the authorities to prevent them from issuing me a new passport. Also having part of the parental authority, he played the legal card, ”she explains again.

Judicial escalation

In the wake of this event, Vincent Miclet filed a complaint on November 15 for “the kidnapping and embezzlement of a minor under the age of eighteen”, according to Moroccan law.

Through his lawyer, Vincent Miclet told us “that he has complete confidence in Moroccan justice and that the charges against the mother of his son are extremely serious, since they include kidnapping children and refusal of schooling”. In this press release, her lawyer specifies that “in this respect, she is currently placed under judicial supervision with a ban on leaving Moroccan territory. Despite this, she tried to leave Morocco, before being blocked by the Moroccan air and border police”.

And the advice of the businessman to add: “Today, Ayvin has not been educated for more than 5 months, which contravenes all laws, both French and Moroccan, and puts a child aged 6 and a half years old learning to read and write in his first year of primary school”.

What outcome?

With Le Parisien, Vincent Miclet’s lawyer made a point of stressing that “after having extended his hand to him (to Ayem Nour) on many occasions, Mr. Miclet has no other choice, in order to exercise his father’s right, than to let Moroccan justice work for the balance of his child with all the regrettable consequences that these decisions could have on Mrs. Nour. No one is above the law! “.

The procedure is still ongoing to this day, after several hearings in the Cherifian kingdom. According to documents that we have obtained, the Moroccan justice confirmed the instruction against Ayem Nour on January 3rd. Technical hearings are to be held this week but a trial should take place in the coming months.

“There is still a child in the middle. If I suffer, I think that he too (Vincent Miclet) must also suffer a lot. I wish her to put things into perspective because for our son it is very complicated, ”said the young mother of a family faced with this situation which is blocking her in Morocco while awaiting a decision from the local justice.

Ayem Nour still hopes for a positive outcome to these “problems between adults”. “What I want is to go home with my son. I will never prevent Vincent from seeing his son, I will never paint a Machiavellian picture of his dad. I don’t want to deprive him of a father figure.”
