• The inter-union called for a new day of strikes and demonstrations against the pension reform project, Thursday, April 6. The last, on March 28, brought together 740,000 demonstrators in France according to the authorities, more than 2 million according to the inter-union. On March 23, nearly 1.09 million people had mobilized in France according to Place Beauvau and 3.5 million according to the CGT.
• This eleventh day comes the day after a meeting between the Prime Minister and the unions which ended in a ” failure “, according to them. Faced with their renewed request to withdraw the text, Elisabeth Borne reiterated her intention to maintain it. A “serious decision” opening a “democratic crisis”denounced the inter-union which does not however intend ” turn the page “.
• The unions are therefore relying on the mobilization in the streets on Thursday, with their sights set on the decisions that the Constitutional Council must render on April 14. The wise men will decide on the constitutionality of the pension reform and on the admissibility of the referendum of shared initiative (RIP) of the left.
• In national education, “around 20%” primary school teachers will be on strike on Thursday, according to the Snuipp-FSU, the leading union in nursery and primary schools.
• The SNCF plans three out of four TGVs as well as one out of two TERs. Only Intercity traffic will remain very disrupted with a quarter of the trains maintained and no night trains. In Parisian transport, traffic is announced “almost normal” by the RATP. Disruptions are expected on lines 3, 5 and 13, while the others will run normally. The traffic will be “almost normal” on the RER network and « normal » on the bus network.
