Coastal: In Coastal, the office of the RDO was besieged by members of the Association of Transferees and engaged in a struggle. A monthly stipend of Rs. 3,000 to be provided.
The protest took place at 11:00 am yesterday at the office of the Coastal RDO, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Association for the Rights of All Persons with Disabilities and Defenders, demanding relief for the disabled families affected by the rains and floods.
The District Secretary was presided over by the Governor. Vice President Vasanthi, Joint Secretary Ramakrishnan, Deaf Federation Vasantha Kumar and many others participated. RDO, Adiyaman Kaviyarasu came and negotiated and made peace.
The disabled then abandoned the protest and dispersed at 11:30 am. District Secretary Rasayan presided. District Joint Secretary Jeeva presided.
Palanivel, Mohan, Velankanni and Saravanan took the lead. District Committee Ranjith, Dhanasekar and many others participated. District Treasurer Nadesan led the picket near Kurinjipadi Kurinjipadi bus stand. District Joint Secretary Vasu, Union Secretary Anbumani and many others participated. The stir took place from 11:00 a.m. to 11:10 p.m.
