The MTR announced that the 4th specific weekend from April to May will be designated as “Thanksgiving Day”. All adults, students, children and the elderly will be on April 8-9 and May 13-14, as long as they use the Octopus to take the Hong Kong Railway, Light Rail and MTR buses, or the MTR Heavy Rail (including journeys to and from Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations) with the QR code of the ticket, will automatically enjoy a 50% fare deduction for each paid journey. It should be noted that the use of Octopus discounts is not applicable to the first-class surcharge of East Rail Line, Airport Express and MTR feeder buses. The discount can be used in conjunction with other discounts, and the discount will be calculated separately; and the QR code discount is not applicable to the first-class surcharge of the East Rail Line and the Airport Express, nor can it be used in conjunction with other fare discounts.
