Special Easter Week program at the Railway Museum of Catalonia
From Saturday 1 to Sunday 9 April, the Railway Museum of Catalonia will offer various proposals and special hours coinciding with the Easter period. On Sunday 2 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the Mataró locomotive will start operating. You can live the experience of traveling from the driver’s cab with the driver and the stoker. On Tuesday 4, Thursday 6 and Saturday 8, at 12:30 p.m., there will be special guided visits on the occasion of the 175th Anniversary of the first peninsular train, Barcelona-Mataró. In addition, on Wednesday the 5th, Friday the 7th and Sunday the 9th, at 12:30 pm, there are other visits, those of TRENexperiencias: The TALGO train, the great change in the world of travel in the 20th century.

Collecting Fair and Modeling Market at the Madrid Railway Museum
The Madrid Railway Museum will become this weekend a meeting point for fans of railway modeling and the world of collecting in general. The platforms of the historic station host the Collector’s Fair on Saturday, April 1, while on April 2, it hosts the Modeling Market, a must for all fans of modeling in general and railways in particular. In both cases, these activities are included in the entrance to the museum.

New trip of the Blue Tern, as “Drum Train”
Next Saturday, April 8, the DRUM TRAIN will circulate again. Leaving from the ZARAGOZA DELICIAS station, and after picking up passengers at the Goya station, the BLUE TRAIN will travel the mythical direct line to Barcelona, to the town of La Puebla de Híjar.
La Puebla de Híjar is one of the 9 towns on the Drum and Bass Drum Route, and one of the most deeply rooted popular manifestations among its inhabitants is the playing of the drum and bass drum at Easter.
The Drum Train is in charge of taking tourists from Zaragoza to La Puebla de Híjar, to be able to enjoy the events of Holy Saturday, especially in the exciting CESE DEL TOQUE DEL TAMBOR Y EL BOMBO, a differentiating element of Holy Week in The town of Híjar.
It will leave at 11 in the morning from Zaragoza-Delicias, arriving an hour later in La Puebla. Extensive program of guided tours and participation in the “Case of drumming and bass drums”, returning to Zaragoza at 11:00 p.m.

Exhibition “Drawing the Transcantábrico” at the Madrid Railway Museum
Coinciding with the 143rd anniversary of the Madrid-Delicias station, Room 3000 of the Madrid Railway Museum hosts the new exhibition “Drawing El Transcantábrico”, with a selection of works donated by Adif, as a graphic tribute to the train itself when the 40 years of its launch. The exhibition will remain open until September 24.

Exhibition ‘RailArte-Travel with imagination and ‘RailArte’ and ‘Caminos de Hierro’, at the Ramón y Cajal hospital
The Ramón y Cajal Hospital will host two exhibitions from the Spanish Railways Foundation until May 30, with the train as the protagonist: the painting exhibition ‘RailArte – Traveling with imagination’ and the photographic exhibition ‘Caminos de Hierro’.
‘RailArte’ is made up of a selection of works from the private collection –started more than 30 years ago– of a professional linked to railways, Luis Díaz Guerra. The complete collection brings together more than a thousand works including oil paintings, engravings, watercolors, drawings or collages, from the beginnings of the railway in the 19th century to the present day. It is the only one in Spain with this theme. ‘Caminos de Hierro’ is the traveling exhibition of the thirtieth edition of the international photographic contest created by the Fundación de Ferrocarriles in 1986. The contest aims to encourage and promote photography related to the railway: images of its travelers, stations, trains, tracks , tunnels, subways, etc.

The Train of José Zorrilla
On Saturday, April 1, a departure of the José Zorrilla train is scheduled. With this thematic proposal by Renfe, passengers will enjoy a cultural and tourist day in the city where the author of “Don Juan Tenorio” was born. Special Renfe frequencies for the Castuera Cheese Fair in Badajoz
Renfe facilitates travel to Castuera (Badajoz) next Saturday, April 1, with the commissioning of four special trains for the celebration of ‘Cheese Day’. This reinforcement device will mean a total supply of 2,208 places. Metrovalencia service to go to CV Skylls in the fairgrounds
Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) facilitates travel to Feria Valencia on Line 4 of the Metrovalencia tram on March 31 for people who attend CV Skylls, the professional training competition. The tram service will circulate between the Doctor Lluch stop and the Fira stop and vice versa, with a frequency of 20 minutes between the hours established between 6:00 and 22:00.

Special Bilbao tram service for the Athletic Club-Getafe CF match
On Saturday 1 April, Euskotren will offer a special Bilbao tram service for the Athletic Club-Getafe CF match. There will be circulations every 15 minutes between Bolueta and La Casilla, with some reinforcement service from Pío Baroja to Hospital. At the end of the game there will be a partial blackout, between approximately 6:05 p.m. and 6:35 p.m.

Adaptation of its Trambahía services to facilitate the passage of the processions during Holy Week
The Trambahía will adapt its services during Holy Week to allow the passage of the processions through the Official Carrera of Real de San Fernando street. From Palm Sunday to Good Friday, circulation through the island municipality will be interrupted between the Venta de Vargas and Ardila stops in different time slots. In Chiclana de la Frontera, the condition is limited only to the afternoon of Palm Sunday, in which the Alameda de Solano stop is set as the end of the journey of one of the trains to let a procession pass through the roundabout of the bridge of the medicines.
The Bahía de Cádiz tram will run throughout the week, between April 3 and 7, with hours on holidays and weekends, that is, only long journeys from Pelagatos (Chiclana) to the terminal station of Cádiz and vice versa, but with the limitations of passing through Calle Real de San Fernando.
