New trip of the Blue Tern, as “Drum Train”

Next Saturday, April 8, the DRUM TRAIN will circulate again. Leaving from the ZARAGOZA DELICIAS station, and after picking up passengers at the Goya station, the BLUE TRAIN will travel the mythical direct line to Barcelona, ​​to the town of La Puebla de Híjar.

Exhibition “Drawing the Transcantábrico” at the Madrid Railway Museum

Coinciding with the 143rd anniversary of the Madrid-Delicias station, Room 3000 of the Madrid Railway Museum hosts the new exhibition “Drawing El Transcantábrico”, with a selection of works donated by Adif, as a graphic tribute to the train itself when the 40 years of its launch. Exhibition ‘RailArte-Travel with imagination and ‘RailArte’ and ‘Caminos de Hierro’, at the Ramón y Cajal hospital

The Ramón y Cajal Hospital will host two exhibitions from the Spanish Railways Foundation until May 30, with the train as the protagonist: the painting exhibition ‘RailArte – Traveling with imagination’ and the photographic exhibition ‘Caminos de Hierro’.

‘RailArte’ is made up of a selection of works from the private collection –started more than 30 years ago– of a professional linked to railways, Luis Díaz Guerra. The complete collection brings together more than a thousand works including oil paintings, engravings, watercolors, drawings or collages, from the beginnings of the railway in the 19th century to the present day. It is the only one in Spain with this theme. ‘Caminos de Hierro’ is the traveling exhibition of the thirtieth edition of the international photographic contest created by the Fundación de Ferrocarriles in 1986. The contest aims to encourage and promote photography related to the railway: images of its travelers, stations, trains, tracks , tunnels, subways, etc.

The Trambahía will adapt its services during Holy Week to allow the passage of the processions through the Official Carrera of Real de San Fernando street.
