It is important for registered veterinarians to know that the payment of funds under the new state aid for the immunoprophylaxis program will start when the notification is sent to the European Commission. This was announced at a meeting with the new management of The Bulgarian Veterinary Union (BVS) Deputy Minister Krum Nedelkov. And he specified that it is a notification regime between the institutions, which allows the payment under it to start immediately.
The new chairman of the BVS is Dr. Dimitar Tsankov.
“The new EC regulation on state aid entered into force on January 1 of this year, but there is a grace period of 6 months, which allows us to apply the old aid until the end of June according to the order established so far. The document is valid for 7 years, until the end of 2029. as our ambition is all state aid, incl. and this one, to be with the maximum term of application of 7 years”, explained Prof. Nedelkov. He added that the new contracts between the registered veterinarians and the Regional Directorates for Food Safety will start on June 1 and the new scheme for the payment of state aid in the amount of about BGN 20 million per year will be implemented.
