The group consists of weapons technicians and administrators who are responsible for servicing and administering the police’s service weapons as well as carrying out inspections in accordance with the Weapons Act. The role of administrator in this group suits someone who is flexible, thorough and dexterous. The legal department is a joint department within the Police Agency. The legal department is responsible for legal governance and support, administrative law activities and information management. Organizationally, you will belong to an administrative law group at Rätts Väst, which is a regionally located section within the national Law Department. Rätts Väst today consists of an administrative law part with seven groups, three groups within information management and two law enforcement groups.

Job description

Your main tasks will be in two different areas, weapons technology/weapons handling and inspection/handling of cases.

Within the area of ​​weapons technology, the following is included, among other things

  • Service police service weapons and handle ammunition and OC spray
  • Inspection and repair work as well as spare parts handling
  • Administration and documentation work
  • The processing of cases means that you will perform, among other things

  • Inspections of arms dealers
  • Custody control at individuals

Handling of other case types within the administrative law area may become relevant as the position is placed within the legal department. The work involves some heavy lifting and car travel within the region.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Driving license B (manual transmission)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Good weapons technical knowledge acquired through education and/or work experience
