The U-17 South American Championship continues this Friday. For Group A, the Brazil will face Uruguay, at 21:00 (Brasília time), at the George Capwell Stadium, in Guayaquil (EQU), for the fifth round – the last of the qualifying phase.
The Brazilians are at the top of the group, with seven points. Amarelinha comes from two consecutive victories after the draw in the debut of the competition. The last one, against Colombia, in fact, guaranteed the team in the final hexagonal.
On the other hand, Uruguay is third, with four points. Celeste needs the victory so as not to depend on the outcome of the other match.
Chile and Ecuador face off at the same time as Brazil and Uruguay. Chile has six points and advances with a draw. The Ecuadorians, on the other hand, need the victory to remain alive in the tournament. Colombia, at the bottom with just one point – with no chance of qualifying – completes the group.
