Dozens of protesters gathered at the Yitzhar junction to demonstrate against the lax security policy of the current government and the recent serious attacks. Border Guard forces and the Israel Police arrived at the scene to disperse the demonstration and clear the blocked roads. However, a mother and her daughter from the local area refused to evacuate and stop the protest. As a result, they were violently arrested by the security forces, handcuffed and put into police cars. One of the protesters expressed concern over the violence used to suppress their peaceful protest, stating that it feels as though their lives are in danger.

In light of the serious attack that took place today (Friday), and in light of the security escalation in the country, dozens of demonstrators went to the Yitzhar Junction in protest of the lax security policy of the current government and the serious attacks that took place.
Border Guard forces and the Israel Police arrived at the scene to disperse the demonstration and free the blocked roads.
The security forces began to disperse the demonstration and demanded that the demonstrators vacate the intersection following a ‘closed military area’ order that they had.
The residents of one of the localities in the area, a mother and her daughter, refused to evacuate and stop the protest and as a result were violently arrested by the security forces, handcuffed and put into police cars.
One of the protesters said: “These are psychotic mirrors that I am pinching myself to make sure I am not hallucinating, the hearts of all of us drink blood and the feeling is that our lives are literally promiscuous, but the security system even in these difficult moments refuses to listen to the cry and suppresses the protest with the violence that belongs to dark regimes. Instead of fighting terrorism, they are trying to silence us. What is going on here.”
