The Spanish fans will be able to enjoy three MotoGP Grand Prix openly in 2023. Televisión Española has signed an agreement with Dorna Sports and has paid for the rights to the next two World Cup races in Spain, and a third to be held in Europe (to be confirmed).

As reported by Confidencial Digital, Televisión Española has finally acquired the broadcasting rights for three races in the Motorcycle World Championship. The public entity has paid an amount close to half a million euros to be able to broadcast the three GPs openly.

The same medium also includes various statements from the top management of the race that have confirmed that the appointments selected to be broadcast will be the Jerez Grand Prix (April 30) and the Catalonia Grand Prix (September 3). That leaves the fan open for a third open that, although it has not been announced, it seems that it will be that of Assen (June 25).

It seems that the appeal of the national Grand Prix has caught the attention of MotoGP. They also advance that one of the great games that Jerez offers is the ‘wildcard’ that Dani Pedrosa will do on the KTM RC16. A stellar performance that was joined by many other national pilots such as Marc Márquez, Maverick Viñales, Aleix Espargaró, Pol Espargaró, Álex Márquez or Raúl Fernández, among others.

The first and only time that Dani has ridden the RC16 in a race was on the occasion of the Styrian Grand Prix of the year 2021; The KTM tester qualified 14th during Q1 on Saturday, and on Sunday, after the appearance of a red flag in the early stages of the test due to a strong accident by Lorenzo Savadori in which Dani himself was also involved , the Spaniard ended up reaping the tenth position after the resumption of the test.

The retransmission right includes the entire package from Friday to Sunday, so that fans will be able to enjoy it in full. From the free practice sessions on Friday, through the qualifiers, the sprint race and the race on Sunday. Of course, it has not yet been announced on which channel it can be seen, although in all probability it will be La 1 or Teledeporte, or both.

This agreement is not the first time it has occurred. In fact, last year TVE also took advantage of two great national prizes to buy the rights. Specifically, it was enjoyed in the open of Jerez and MotorLand Aragón. Throughout the weekend it was possible to enjoy not only the races, but also the free practice and qualifying sessions. So everything indicates that this time it will be the same.
