After a year of absence, Burnley returns to the Premier League in England. Vincent Kompany’s team beat Middlesbrough 1:2 this evening (Friday) and secured one of the first two places in the Championship for the 2022/23 season with seven games remaining.
After 39 games, the hottest team in the second division in England already stands at 87 points, when they won 25 and lost only two. Beyond the lead in the table, Burnley leads the league in scoring goals and is also the team that has conceded the fewest goals.
The coach of the team as mentioned is the former brakeman who took the reins last summer and turned the team, which is considered rather gray, into a well-oiled machine that defeated its competitors. The star of the team this season is Nathan Tella, the English winger who scored 17 league goals and set up another four.
