Education: the government readjusts the premium for free education to 50,000 FC (CongoForum)

KINSHASA – The government of Jean Michel Sama Lukonde continues to fulfill its commitments made under the Addendum to the Bibwa Protocol of Agreement signed at Mbuela Lodge, City of Kisantu, Madimba Territory, Kongo-Central Province.

This is what emerges from an official statement signed by the Minister of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education, Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, made public this Wednesday, May 5, 2023 and sent to the editorial staff of CongoForum which indicates that in addition updates, the April payroll will include the following actions:

The readjustment of the free bonus up to FC 50,000 per primary teacher for a total staff of 375,333 teachers; support for 682 NU teachers at nursery level; support for 5,535 teachers at the primary level; support for 10,002 secondary level teachers; support for the 2,200 Inspectors of the 2018 Edition; the granting and payment of roaming charges to Inspection Pools; the payment of the transposition of grades for the benefit of 567,081 career teachers; the progressive payment of end-of-career allowances to teachers eligible for retirement for a monthly staff of 452; the payment of operating costs for the benefit of the 3,542 primary schools having undergone the modification of structures; payment of operating costs allocated to the 656 managing offices; readjustment of the bush premium for 560,159 teachers in the territories.

All these actions are thus a reason to push the entire educational community to mobilize behind the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, who wishes to consolidate and perpetuate free primary education, the flagship program of his five-year term.
