Two consumers filed a complaint about a case of racism in Rio.
What happened:
They were accused of cell phone theft by another customer. in a supermarket in Rio de Janeiro.
Sales consultant Joana Serafim and her mother, Francisca Serafim, accuse the woman of having searched their bags.
“She [a outra cliente] came back screaming, saying: ‘I left my cell phone here, I left my wallet here, where is it, where is it, it’s here’, where we were, at the cashier. I said, ‘No, you didn’t leave anything here'”Joana told TV Globo.
Witnesses reported that the cell phone was later found in the egg sector, depending on the channel. Before accusing the two consumers, the customer had left the cashier and gone to the sector because she had forgotten to buy eggs.
The complaint was registered at a police station in Gávea as “injury due to prejudice”. The woman has already been summoned to give a statement.
