Tricolor overcomes Tigres and is in the final of the Under-19 Dallas Cup

São Paulo beat Tigres (MEX) by 3 to 2 on Friday night (07) and advanced to the decision of the Dallas Cup Sub-19. Newerton (2) and Drummond scored for the Tricolor in dispute at Toyota Stadium, in Frisco (Texas, USA).

The #MadeInCotia boys will face FC Midtjylland (DIN) in the pursuit of the trophy – the rival overcame Real Madrid (ESP) in the semi-final. The decision will be played against Sunday (09), at 6:30 pm, again at Toyota Stadium.

Regarding the last game, coach Belletti can count on the return of Andrade in defense after the player fulfills suspension for yellow card.

In the first minute of the game, Tricolor scored with a great goal. Luiz Henrique made the pass to Newerton, who covered the goalkeeper. Still in the first half, the São Paulo team expanded: at 41 minutes, Brito made a great move and Drummond pushed for the goal. Tigres scored three minutes into the second half and tied at the end of the second stage, when they also had one player less, and took the vacancy decision to overtime.

In extra time, with a numerical advantage, São Paulo commanded the match and almost scored a great goal in a play by Boer, but the shot hit the post. Five minutes into the second half of extra time, Manso missed a penalty, saved by the goalkeeper. However, VAR showed that the archer went ahead, and the move came back. Newerton, then, took over the charge, and converted the bid to give the victory to São Paulo.

In the first phase, there were three triumphs, with nine goals scored and only three conceded, results that guaranteed the first place in group B for São Paulo.
