A child was shot during a shootout in the Madureira neighborhood, north of Rio, on Wednesday night (5). The victim was rescued and taken to the UPA (Ready Service Unit) in Irajá. There is still no information about her health status.
In addition to the girl, two other victims – a man and a woman – would also have been injured in the confrontation.
The Military Police confirmed that they had been called to verify the child’s entry into the health unit. She would have been hit in the Cajueiro community.
On the other hand, the corporation denied involvement of the teams in clashes in the region of Madureira. Police were strengthened in the locality.
