Employees of the State Committee for National Security detained a member of the organized crime group with the initials S.A.S. According to the press center of the State Committee, he is suspected of extorting 350,000 soms from a private entrepreneur.

According to the State Committee for National Security, in early April, the detainee and his accomplices were forcibly put into a car and taken to the outskirts of Bishkek, where they began to inflict bodily harm with an unidentified iron object. After that, the attackers began to extort money from the victim, and took away a Toyota Camry car as collateral.

On this fact, the State Committee for National Security opened a criminal case under the article “Extortion”. A member of the organized criminal group was detained while receiving money. He was placed in the temporary detention center of the State Committee for National Security.

The State Committee for National Security added that they are looking for accomplices of the detainee and “measures are continuing to neutralize the activities of organized crime groups.”
