The 11th season of the Big Bash League, the T20 league series in Australia, is in full swing. The match between the Sydney Sixers and the Melbourne Stars took place in Melbourne.
The Sixers won the toss and elected to field. Maxwell hit 103 off 57 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes. No player other than Maxwell danced properly. Maxwell, however, boosted Audi’s score by scoring as an individual. The Melbourne Stars scored only 177 runs in 20 overs. Maxwell scored 103 runs.
The Sydney Sixers’ opening batsman, Josh Phillip, responded to Maxwell’s action by chasing a 178-run target. James Vince (9), Moises Henriques (29) and Daniel Hughes (11) were out at the other end to keep Josh Philip on the field until the end.
However, Josh Phillip scored 99 off 61 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes to help the Sydney Sixers to victory. The Sydney Sixers won the toss and elected to field. Even standing on the field until the last, Josh Phillippe did not score. He finished the innings at 99 and missed a century on one run.
