An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale struck northeastern Japan today, but authorities have not issued a tsunami warning. According to reports from the Kyodo news agency, at least two people were slightly injured in Miyagi prefecture, where the epicenter of the earthquake was located, at a depth of 60 kilometers.
