Murder Suspect Sought for Arrest in Skärholmen

A man was killed and another injured in a shooting at Skärholmen subway station in Stockholm on Wednesday. On Friday, authorities arrested two suspects in their 20s and 30s. The older suspect is being held on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and weapons offenses. The other suspect remains under suspicion, but has not been detained due to insufficient evidence. A detention hearing will take place on Tuesday at Södertörn district court.

It was on Wednesday that a man was shot to death and another was shot and wounded at the Skärholmen subway station in southern Stockholm.

On Friday, two suspects in the shooting, in their 20s and 30s, were arrested and detained.

The older of them has now been requested to be detained on suspicion of probable cause for murder, attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences, the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s communications director Karin Rosander told TT.

– Suspicions remain for the other man, but there were not sufficient reasons to ask him to be detained.

The detention hearing will take place on Tuesday in Södertörn district court.
