Kottayam: A move in favor of Jose K Mani’s son in the case of the death of a youth after being hit by a bike by a car in Manimala. It is suspected that the police, who registered a case in the car accident, played tricks. In the first FIR prepared after the accident, the name of KM Mani Jr., son of Jose K Mani, was omitted. In the FIR, it was only recorded that he was a 45-year-old man. There are mysteries that the name of KM Mani Jr. was omitted from the first FIR prepared even though the police team that reached the spot immediately after the accident saw the son of Jose K. Mani. It is also alleged that the MP’s son’s blood sample was not tested immediately after the accident.

On Saturday evening, the brothers died after the Innova car driven by KM Mani, son of Jose K Mani and a graduate student, was hit by a bike. KM Mani Jr. was arrested by the police in the incident but was released immediately. Mathew John and Jins John died below Manimala Pataliplau Hill. The bike the two were traveling in hit the back of the Innova car which was going to Manimala. Eyewitnesses said that after the Innova braked suddenly, the bike crashed. Both were rushed to the hospital, but their lives could not be saved.

A case has been registered under Section 304A of the Indian Penal Code for causing death by negligent driving. The police said that a case has been registered against the MP’s son after completing all procedures following the accident. But after this, a copy of the reports that the MP’s son’s name is not in the FIR is coming out.
