Dammam: In Saudi Arabia, updated immunization against the covid variant has started. The distribution of new vaccines has started in the context of increasing covid cases in the country. The ministry informed that those who have passed two months after receiving the current covid vaccines can receive the new vaccine.
The injections are administered as activation doses. The Ministry of Health’s action comes in the context of increasing number of covid cases in the country. Appointments can be booked through the My Health app. The ministry urged that the elderly, those with weakened immune systems, those with chronic illnesses, and those working in high-infectious and risk-prone areas must receive the vaccine. The ministry also clarified that those under the age of twelve will not get the vaccine.
