Márquez absent from Austin: Bradl could step in | free press

Motorcycle racer Stefan Bradl could celebrate his comeback at the third round of the MotoGP World Championship in Austin, USA, replacing Marc Márquez, who was injured again. The eight-time world champion from Spain will focus on the healing process, as the Honda factory team announced.

It’s not yet officially confirmed who will replace Márquez. The 30-year-old crashed at the start of the season in Portugal and broke his middle hand.

Bradl was still testing in Jerez on Tuesday. He’s going to Texas anyway. He will either be there as an expert on the television station ServusTV or on the machine. The Bavarian stepped in for Márquez in the previous season. In eight races he got two points. (dpa)
