Tata Motors rolled out the 5 lakh unit of the Nexon from its manufacturing plant. The 5 lakhth unit of Tata Nexon rolled out from the manufacturing plant in Pune. Launched as a concept car at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Nexon went on sale in 2017.
The Nexon model has been receiving good response ever since it went on sale. Currently the price of this model is Rs. 7 lakh 80 thousand starts. The top end model is priced at Rs. 14 lakhs and 35 thousand. All prices are quoted on ex-showroom basis.
As far as the features are concerned, the Tata Nexon model has a 7-inch infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, air purifier, automatic climate control, cruise control, flat bottom steering wheel, etc.
The Tata Nexon model is available in petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 118bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. Its 1.5-litre diesel engine churns out 108 HP of power and 260 Nm of torque.
Transmission is a 6-speed manual gearbox with an optional AMD unit. The new Nexon model is now offered with an engine that complies with BS6 II emission norms. In the Indian market, the Tata Nexon competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV400, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kadjar and Nissan Magnite.
