Al-Sayeh discusses with the British ambassador the latest developments in the electoral process

The Chairman of the High Electoral Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, discussed on Tuesday with the UK Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Harndel, developments in the electoral processes planned for this year, and the Commission’s preparations and level of readiness to implement them.

According to a statement by the Commission on its official website, the meeting discussed what support and expertise can be provided in the field of managing and implementing elections, in addition to reviewing ways to support proposals and endeavors that ensure their success in accordance with international standards.

The UK Ambassador to Libya affirmed her country’s continued support for the Commission’s efforts to achieve free and credible elections that reflect the will of the Libyan voter, appreciating the Commission’s efforts and level of readiness to implement these national obligations.
