Apple releases updates to older versions of iOS and macOS, focusing on security improvements.

In addition to the new operating systems like iOS 16 and macOS Ventura, updates to the old operating systems like iOS 15.7.5, macOS Big Sur 11.7.6 and macOS Monterey 12.6.5 to come as well

Most of the time, these updates are released to cover more critical vulnerabilities. The update method is the same as for newer devices:

• iOS : System Preferences > General > Software Update
• macOS :  System Preferences > General > Software Update

For the release of new operating system updates, both iOS 16.4.1, iPadOS 16.4.1 and macOS Ventura 13.3.1 will focus on fixing security vulnerabilities. It will be both IOSurfaceAccelerator to allow apps to run by themselves, vulnerabilities in WebKit that could allow malicious code entry
