So far, the campaign for the succession of Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux was announced as very cozy, between people of good company. Since Alexandre Saubot’s package two weeks ago, the current deputy chairman of the Medef, Patrick Martin, is a big favorite to take the helm of the employers’ organization in early July. To the point of having a race already won?

This situation is actually starting to cause serious friction with the challengers Dominique Carlac’h and Pierre Brajeux, who no longer hesitate to denounce an attempt to “lock” the election. On Friday, the 54-year-old entrepreneur sent an email to the three other declared candidates – Patrick Martin and Pierre Brajeux therefore, but also Olivier Klotz – simply titled “Let’s discuss together”. The one who is already vice-president of the employers’ organization calls, in this message, the Medef to “demonstrate that it is a democratic and open movement”. Way to say that the account is not really there at the moment.
