This Monday (10), the Civil Police arrested three members of a gang that operated in subway stations in Rio de Janeiro. The group is accused of stealing cell phones in subway trains at stations in the stretch between Barra da Tijuca and downtown.
The criminals had been monitored by the police for more than a month, when they were caught on the security cameras of a station in the middle of one of their actions.
According to investigations, the bandits approached the victims pretending to be tourists and within seconds stole their cell phones.
Police officers from the 9th DP (Catete) captured the criminals in a subway train, and with them, a stolen device was found. The detainees were forwarded to the custody hearing.
