South Korea’s military said North Korea launched an unidentified ballistic missile into the East Sea on Thursday.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that it had monitored the launch. It did not provide further details pending an analysis, according to Yonhap news agency.
And the North Korean Central News Agency reported on Tuesday that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un called for expanding the scope of war deterrence in his country in a more “practical and offensive” way, which increased tensions.
