Investment in mutual fund schemes continues to increase. People who want to save and increase their wealth on a long-term basis invest in mutual funds. In this situation, the investments accumulated in mutual funds increased by 7% to 40.05 lakh crore rupees in the last financial year 2022-23, according to Amfi, the Mutual Fund Association of India (AMFI).

The value of investments in mutual funds in the previous financial year was Rs 37.70 lakh crore. Investments in mutual funds rose 7% to Rs 40.05 lakh crore last fiscal, Amfi said.

According to Amfi, the assets under management (AUM) in Indian mutual funds as of March 2022 was Rs 37,70,295.79 crore. In this case, the value of mutual fund assets has increased to Rs 40,04,638 crore in March 2023.

The stock market has not seen much improvement in the last one year. The Sensex has gained just 0.7% in the last financial year. However, people continue to invest in mutual funds.

SIP investments form the major part of mutual fund investments. In the last month of March alone, chip investments in mutual funds have accumulated an unprecedented amount of Rs 14,276.06 crore.

AMFI Chairman NS Venkatesh said that investors continue to show confidence in stock markets through mutual funds. He also said that despite various problems, the number of investors has increased in the financial year 2022-23.
