Rail traffic in Voorschoten will be restored at least three days later than planned, NOS says. The day before yesterday, ProRail started to repair the track and now the damage has been fully repaired but three kilometers of overhead lines need to be reattached and other damage to rails, sleepers and safety systems.
Initially, the intention was to resume rail traffic next Tuesday, but according to ProRail this has proved unfeasible. Another factor is the shortage of specialized personnel for the airlines. The NS will continue to use buses on the blocked route.
