The Emergency Operations Center (COE) from the Dominican Republic reported this Thursday that they continue in alert eight provinces before the possible affectations caused by the rainy.
“He COE maintains three provinces on yellow alert and five on green for possible flooding of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as floods sudden or urban, due to the fact that an anticyclonic system has begun to affect the limitation of the frequency of the rainfall”the agency stated.
Similarly, he pointed out that the provinces that are under yellow alert are: Santiago, Monseñor Nouel and La Vega, while on green alert are: Dajabón, santiago rodriguezValverde, mount silver and Sanchez Ramirez.
Likewise, the COE recommended people not to use spas (rivers) in the provinces under alert, before possible floods and floods.
For its part, the National Meteorological Office (Onamet) indicated that in the afternoon they forecast some showers locations with isolated and occasional thunderstorms gusts of wind in the provinces of Monte Plata, Sanchez RamirezMonsignor Nouel, La Vega, San Juan, Elías Piña, Dajabón, among others.
«For tomorrow, Friday, at dawn, it is expected cloudy with showers towards the towns of the provinces: Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, and sectors of Greater Santo Domingo. However, the rainfall will decrease both in intensity and frequency“, the entity limited.
