A special Iftar breaking of the fast was held on behalf of the Jeddah Tamil Association. Asifa Kirath was the opening act followed by Jai Shankar who welcomed the guests. Chief Guest Janab Rahmatullah was given a bouquet, Saudi Gazette Ram Narayanan was given a bouquet by Subramanian, India International School Vice Principal Ms. Barha was invited by Bhatila Nisrin Kaja Mohideen and special guest Maulavi Sirajuddin Yusubi was invited to the stage by Ramana.
Special guest Maulavi Sirajuddin Yusubi explained the dignity of fasting and the importance of religious harmony. Brother Abdul Majeed spoke about the Jeddah Tamil Sangam and its services in his view. Dr. Jayashree Murthy further praised the excellence of the fast and the efforts of the Jeddah Tamil Sangh for organizing the event in a special manner every year. Also at the function, Murali listed the services of the Jeddah Tamil Sangh in the past months. Ahmad Pasha gave vote of thanks at the end of the ceremony.
Engineer Kaja Mydeen gave the opening address and anchored the entire program very well, which was attended by not only Jeddah Tamil Sangam members but also many comrades of the fraternal organization. Murali coordinated the arrangement of this great event.
