Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (Georgia), who is pro-Trump, posted on Twitter after Private Teixeira was arrested on the 13th (local time), saying, “Jack Teixeira is an anti-war against whites, men and Christians.” In the Biden administration, this made him an enemy,” he argued.

“Teseira told the truth about troops in Ukraine and more,” said the House Homeland Security Committee member. “Ask yourself who your real enemy is.”
In response, Representative Eric Swalwell (California), who is on the same standing committee as a Democrat, said, “The top adviser to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is siding with one of America’s greatest traitors.” It is not a license to betray the country and put thousands of lives at risk.”
He said, “This is not the first time he has sided with traitors,” NBC reported, when Green asked for pardons for leakers of confidential information in the past, such as WikiLeaks founders Julian Assange and Edward Snowden. David Axelrod, who served as chief strategist during the presidential campaign of former President Barack Obama, called Green’s tweet “truly lunatic.”
