US President Joe Biden has delivered another embarrassing statement, after he told Irish leaders during a dinner in Dublin that he wanted to “lick the world” with them.

“There’s nothing, and I mean it from the bottom of my heart — there’s nothing that our countries can’t accomplish if we do it together. I really mean it. So, thank you all. God bless you all. And let’s go — let’s go lick the world. Let’s do That. Thank you,” Biden said. According to the Cambridge Dictionary, an alternative definition of “lick” is “to easily defeat in a contest, battle, etc.” However, Biden’s comment was interpreted differently by netizens. One of them wrote: “The president continues to give gifts.”
The statement at the dinner took place after another amusing incident during which the American president received a somewhat hostile reception from the Irish president’s dog Michael Higgins. Biden tried to endear himself to the dog named Misnich (courage in Irish), but the dog continued on its way, barking and moving away from the American president.
