The new Hed headphones have a WiFi connection for playing music without quality loss

by time news

The Swiss audio brand Hed claims to be the first in the world with a solution for wireless headphones that allow listening to music in maximum quality and without losing quality at all (Lossless).

Hed Unity headphones, the first of the brand, support listening to high quality music files up to 24 bit and 96 kHz, through standard WiFi connectivity. The connection can be made through the home network, or directly from the phone to the headphones while you are not at home. It is also possible to connect to phones via Bluetooth, but of course then you cannot enjoy sound without losing quality.

To listen to music in full quality, the Head Unity headphones support the music service Qobuz, which is not yet available in Israel, and will soon be expected to support Tidal as well. You can also listen to songs through Spotify and Soundcloud, but not in Lossless quality. Hed’s application also supports playing songs stored on the connected device or on a private media server. In addition, the headphones have a built-in storage capacity of 16 gigabytes, on which you can save about 200 songs in FLAC format for listening outside the home.

The headphones also come with active noise filtering and no less than 12 microphones, as well as an advanced system of motion sensors to track head movements when listening to music in a spatial format. The battery time is about eight hours, while a full charge takes about an hour and a half.

The price, as expected, is not particularly accessible, and stands at 2,199 dollars. For audiophiles who will see this as a worthwhile offer, you can inquire about ordering the headphones through the official website.
