Ramanathapuram,—The work of constructing a new ‘arch’ at the entrance area of Ramanathapuram railway station at the cost of Rs 23 lakh 80 thousand under the Ramanathapuram MLA constituency development fund is going on at a snail’s pace for a year. Commuters say that this is causing disruption to traffic.
The ‘arch’ building already erected in front of the Ramanathapuram railway station was damaged and completely removed. Subsequently, the construction of a new entrance arch has started in April 2022 at a cost of Rs 23 lakh 80 thousand from the Ramanathapuram Constituency MLA fund.
Due to this, there is a disruption in the passage of autos and cars to the railway station. Senior citizens and passengers with children are facing difficulties.
Therefore, the construction of the ‘arch’ should be completed quickly so that there is no disruption to the passengers, people said.
